Betadine Vaginal Gel is formulated with Povidone-Iodine, a potent ingredient that effectively combats harmful microorganisms causing vaginitis from various sources, including candidal, trichomonal, non-specific or mixed infections. Additionally, it is used for pre-operative preparation of the vagina. The gel contains 100 mg of povidone-iodine per gram, equivalent to 10 mg of available iodine, which is skillfully blended with a water-soluble base to facilitate easy administration.
